not so fun
digging through salon.com this morning, i skipped across a review of the last episode of six feet under, and to my delight found the most fabulous bit of writing wrapping up an otherwise fluffy piece. i love it when that happens.
And while you're up, grab me a soda from the fridge. With a glass of ice. Crushed. And a straw.

twisted logic
"i want to be the peace president." well, obviously.
er, and i suppose arguing that the "enemy" declared war on us...without specifying the enemy he's referencing...keeps this from being a bold-faced lie?
and just for the record, am i the only one that finds it ludicrous that Bush/Cheney are attempting to convince us they are the "pro-small business team" over Kerry/Edwards?
i suppose if they were able to convince a majority of americans that invading and occupying iraq was justified post-9/11 WITHOUT the support of the U.N., then we'll buy anything.

weekend bbq
it's been a while since i've attended a bbq and ended up getting down to the music in the backyard, but it happened over the weekend with a gathering of workfolks for judi and sacha's birthday.
and, since i was the only photographer at the party armed only with my cell phone--and my moblog was deleted in my recent site disaster-recovery debacle--i've posted the fuzzy, poorly lit low resolution photos over here.
there were fabulous asian fusion foodies with excellent drink at lew's lovely abode with a wee bit of excessive raucousness tossed in that i won't repeat here. because well, i'm sending the aforementioned work folks to my site to view the evidence.
however, in the interest of fairness (and for entertainment purposes only) please feel free to email me directly with any good stories from the party i may have missed. especially the ones about me. i hate it when i miss those. disclaimer: all denials will be issued on a case by case basis only.
(moblog will be back soon for the 5 people a day that i'm sure are sorely missing it)

okay, i don't usually talk too much about work here, but it was just too funny not to mention...
we're very busy here in my department pulling off a bi-annual thing that we do with marketing every year so things are stressy and a little crazy.
so i find myself in rare smartass form, yet again, in my boss' office when she half-turns to me and says, "okay, everyone likes a piece of ass, but NO ONE likes a smartass."

i think we're going to get along just fine.

I'm an auntie part tres!
i've officially become an aunt for the third time. my sister suzette has officially added another baby girl to the family!
at 8lbs 15oz, sophia fritinger has officially joined the family. everyone is healthy, whole and happy.
and i am, of course, thrilled. that it wasn't me. :)
